The Coordinator - Community provides strong leadership and direction to the Community team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and customer-focused culture. This role leads the planning and delivery of strategic and operational community programs that align with Council’s long-term vision, ensuring inclusive, innovative, and sustainable services across sport, recreation, health and wellbeing, arts, culture, events, and tourism.

The position builds and maintains effective partnerships with stakeholders, manages financial and human resources efficiently, and ensures compliance, governance, and continuous improvement across all community initiatives. Through strategic leadership and operational excellence, the Coordinator drives outcomes that strengthen community connection, inclusion, and wellbeing across the George Town Municipality.
