The Post Graduate Gallery Society is a Tasmanian University Student Association (TUSA) affiliated Society for UTAS undergraduate and post graduate students; as well as for alumni and community members. The society presents art exhibitions, book promotions and readings; and other types of creative performances.

The makeup of members in The Postgraduate Gallery Society participating in the proposed exhibition: It Takes All Sorts... range from emerging to mid-career artists who use media including acrylic and enamel paints, textiles, handmade ochre watercolour paint to coloured pencil, collage, gouache, and digital works.  Each member tells a unique story arising from their individual practice. The exhibition allows for freedom of expression as it represents multiple genres from abstract to anime, landscapes, still life and fantasy - illustrating a variety of approaches to mark making.

The participating artists include Michael Beamish, Edna Broad, Jan Charlton, Gulcan Kilinc, Victoria Jansen-Riley, Snehi Jarvis, Jamie Riley and Marilyn Theisel.
