The Kinimathatakinta Aboriginal Gathering Space is a dedicated area for the local Aboriginal community to gather, yarn, sing, and celebrate. Designed as a wind shelter, healing circle, and fire pit, this space serves as a venue for cultural events and community activities, fostering a sense of unity and cultural expression.

The local Aboriginal community were consulted and involved in the design of the space. The pathways leading into the gathering space symbolise the journeys taken by clans to come together, celebrate, and tell stories. The stone seats and picnic tables represent the camps that traditionally surrounded gathering spaces.
