Community Assistance Program - Round 1 Grant Outcome

Round 1 of the 2018 / 2019 Community Assistance Program resulted in Council receiving a total of 6 grant applications, with 5 grants being awarded, totalling  $7,035.

George Town Cricket Club.

Funding for the design, printing and delivery of a family violence pamphlet to households in the George Town municipality

Funding for the installation of poly tunnel at the Community Garden.

Funding for Council services for the installation of Centenary of
Armistice Plinths, and Remembrance Day Commemorative march.

George Town Junior
Soccer Club

Funding to assist with the cost of sand blasting and painting of the Club’s goal posts.

An application by the George Town Football Club for a grant to assist with the purchase of upgraded fitness equipment was not passed, with a recommendation that the Club applies in Round 2 of the Community Grant Assistance Program. 

Round 2 of the Community Assistance Program will open on Monday 4th February 2019, and close on Friday 22nd February 2019.
