2018 Timberlink Christmas Parade

Hundreds of families lined Macquarie Street on Thursday 19th December to watch the 2018 Timberlink Christmas Parade.

27 entrants made up the very colourful and entertaining parade, with entries ranging from walking and dance groups, pipe band, classic vehicles, decorated floats in the theme of A Storybook Christmas, and of course Santa himself.

Council extends a big thank you to all parade entrants.  Without the support of the many individuals and community groups, the parade would not be the success it is.  The spirit of Christmas was truly alive in George Town.

Judges Mayor Bridget Archer and Deputy Mayor Tim Harris had a very difficult task in determining the winner of the four categories -
