2019 Volunteer of the Year

Do you know someone who gives their time to make our community a better place?

Perhaps they run the canteen or coach at your sports club, offer their skills to tutor others, care for the environment, assist with emergency services, or assist in the day to day operations of a charity or organisation: whether that’s tourism, heritage and the arts; administration; maintenance; or community services.

Recognise these people by nominating them for a Volunteer Recognition Award and let us acknowledge and celebrate their contributions to our community!

George Town Council celebrates the valued volunteers in our community during National Volunteer Week, held in May each year.

For a nominanee to be recognised at the 2019 National Volunter Recognition Awards, the nomination must be received no later that Friday the 19th of April. Nominations received after this date will be collated for the 2020 awards. Self nominations are also accepted.
