Three Bluff Walk

05 Nov 2019

On the 2nd of November myself and 29 others had a spectacular opportunity to explore 18km of the BEST coastline in Tasmania, between Low Head and Beechford. It was a learning experience like no other.  Both educational and functional, we removed debris and mapped sea spurge along the shoreline.

We walked on sand, rocks and unformed tracks and though the weather wasnt always pleasant it did not diminish our experience in anyway.  On our journey we were greeted by  two Parks and Wildlife representatives who gave us some indigenous insights into plants, landmarks and culture.

Thank you to Jason Orr - Chairman of the George Town Coastal Communities Management Group and Tamar NRM representatives for their co-ordination and participation.  We congratulate the wonderful work of these organisations and volunteers, who are actively making an impact on the landscape in our municipality.
