Covid 19 Update - Council to Lift Some Restrictions

George Town Council will lift restrictions across a number of services from next week, in line with the State Government's Road to Recovery plan.
The following services will resume, from 18th May 2020, albeit in a limited capacity.
- Council’s Anne Street customer service office - limited to 5 persons at a time, with social distancing provisions in place open 9.30am to 3pm Monday to Friday. Staff are still available from 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday to provide services by phone and email. Anyone who wishes to discuss a development or building application with a council officer is advised to make an appointment beforehand.
- Local community playgrounds - limited to 10 persons at a time. The Council encourages the public to maintain strict hygiene practices and social distancing.
Council would make further announcements in due course, as further lockdown measures are lifted in coming months.
