Covid 19 Update - Waste Transfer Stations

Council would like to advise that to minimise the spread of COVID-19,  we would like the George Town Waste Station customers to be advised that contactless (account) and digital payment methods (card) will be enforced immediately as this system requires less physical interaction and is very secure.  We request that ALL payments to be made at the George Town Waste Transfer Station be card only  as cash will not be accepted.

We would also like to inform customers that the Pipers River Transfer Station will be CLOSED until further notice.
