Expressions of Interest – George Town Municipality Destination Action Plan Leadership Group (DAP)

An opportunity has arisen for two tourism business representatives from within the municipality to join the George Town Municipality DAP Leadership Group.
The group comprises of business, local government and community representatives who have a diverse range of skills, experience and backgrounds who give of their time and talent to benefit tourism development, marketing, communication & education of opportunities and challenges in the tourism sector. The group has identified and agreed on the key priorities and actions that would make a positive difference to the growth and sustainability of the George Town municipality visitor economy and experience.
DAP Objectives for tourism are to increase visitor:
- numbers
- length of stay
- expenditure
- dispersal (geographically and seasonally)
- satisfaction.
