Facemasks required from 21st December 2021

19 Dec 2021

The Tasmanian Government has mandated that everyone over 12 years of age must wear a mask in indoor settings (except your home)unless you have a medical exemption.  This means that from tomorrow December 21 you will be required to wear a mask if you enter any George Town Council Offices or Premises run by George Town Council including the Bass & Flinders Museum, Watch House and Visitors Information Centre.

Wearing a mask reduces the chance of passing the virus on to others if a person is unknowingly infected with COVID-19, and helps to protect you against infection.

Please ensure you social distance and sanitising on entry of any of our premises. Also please remember to use the CHECK IN TAS app.
