Regent Square Car Park Reopens on the 30th October

Regent Square Car Park will be totally closed to any parking or pedestrian activity until Saturday 30th October 2021.

George Town Council is upgrading and extending the Regent Square Car Park to increase the number of car parking spaces and provide ease of access for pedestrians. The entire Regent Square Car Park will remain fully closed for the remainder of the work to ensure safety to the public and  contractors.

How will the work affect you?

Council intends to continue and complete the works between 7.00am and 5.00pm until Saturday 30 October 2021, weather permitting. During these works the Regent Square Car Park will be fully closed to the public for safety reasons.

During this period please do not park in the Regent Square Car Park.

There is alternative parking in:

• Anne Street
• Macquarie Street
• Bathurst Street
• Elizabeth Street

There is also a carpark in front of  George Town Council offices in Anne Street to accommodate residents, workers and visitors in the George Town CBD.
