National Volunteer Week 2022

 Do you know someone who gives their time to make our community a better place?

Perhaps they run the canteen or coach at your sports club, operate community transport, offer their skills to tutor others, care for the environment, assist with emergency services, or assist in the day to day operations of a charity or organisation: whether that’s tourism, heritage, and the arts; administration; maintenance; or community services.

Recognise these people by nominating them and let us acknowledge and celebrate their contributions to our community!

George Town Council celebrates the valued volunteers in our community during National Volunteer Week, held in May each year. For a nominee to be recognised at the 2022 National Volunteer Recognition Awards, the nomination must be received no later than Monday 18th May 2022. Late nominations cannot be accepted.

All nominees, family and friends are invited to attend a function to be held on Thursday 19th 2022  |  10:30am - 12:00pm at the Memorial Hall.
