The following roads and carpark will be closed for conducting the annual George Town Christmas Carnival on Friday, 9th December 2022.

No parking will be permitted on Macquarie Street from 3.00 pm. This is required as part of the Council’s Risk Management Plan for the event and will ensure that no vehicles are parked on Macquarie Street for the duration of the Christmas Parade.
No parking will be permitted in the Elizabeth Street carpark from 4.00 pm to 7:00 pm.
No parking will be permitted in the Regent Square Car Park from 3:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
