Temporary Closure of Dalrymple Road, between The Glen Road and East Arm Road junctions, Mount Direction from 5:00 pm on Friday 7 January 2022

George Town Council’s contractors are replacing the three existing bridges on Dalrymple Road over Fourteen Mile Creek, between The Glen Road and East Arm Road junctions, Mount Direction to improve road safety and heavy vehicle access.

This essential work will take place from 5:00 pm on Friday 7 January 2022 and we expect to complete the work in two weeks, weather permitting.

There will be some temporary traffic changes to ensure workers and road users are safe.
A Detour will be in place from 5:00 pm on Friday 7 January 2022 for approximately two weeks for all vehicles via East Arm Road or The Glen Road.

Motorists should allow approximately 20 minutes extra travel time during this work. We have included a map to show the location of the work.

Please keep to speed limits and follow the directions of traffic controllers and signs.
