Unregistered Dogs

Our Community Compliance Officers are currently undertaking spot checks around the municipality for unregistered dogs.

According to the Dog Control Act 2000, all dogs over six months of age must be registered and microchipped with Council. Dog registration is an important investment in your pet, providing safety and security. In addition, it assists Council to contact you if your pet is lost, injured or involved in an incident.

Owners of unregistered dogs may be fined.
