The volunteers from the George Town Visitor Centre were busy promoting our region at Blooming Tasmania Festival held in Launceston on the weekend. The George Town Garden Club kindly assisted in adorning the stand for the festival. Council wishes to thank the volunteers and the George Town Garden Club for such a fantastic display and congratulate them on representing and promoting our community and region.

George Town Council is now be providing a sharps container exchange service for diabetic and home-care patients where sharps can be dropped off in approved containers for safe disposal. Approved sharps replacement containers (1.4L) can be purchased at a ‘not for profit’ price of $5.00 from Council.
