Interested in standing at the Local Government elections in October 2018
The Local Government Association of Tasmania (LGAT), in conjunction with the Local Government Division Department of Premier and Cabinet, Tasmanian Electoral Commission, the Tasmanian Audit Office, the Integrity Commission and the Australian Local Government Women’s Association (Tas) are running a series of free information sessions for people who are interested in standing at the Local Government elections in October 2018. The information sessions provide a valuable opportunity for potential candidates to receive information about community expectations and the roles and responsibilities of becoming an elected member.

TasWater Sewer Cleaning - George Town
TasWater will be undertaking a large sewer cleaning project in George Town and Low Head from the end of the month. Work will commence on Monday, 30 April and will take approximately four to six weeks. All enquiries about this work can be referred to the TasWater Call Centre on 13 69 92.
