Information and Support for Tasmanian Farmers

Posted

The Tasmanian Government has been working with rural support organisations to support those experiencing hardship on the Bass Strait Island and mainland Tasmania. These services provided the immediate support needed now as well as building long-term drought resilience. On 16 July 2024, the Government expanded the support measures by announcing a further $4.8 million assistance package which included funding for additional mental health, business advisory and animal welfare services. This support is in addition to the support already being provided through existing hardship grants, the rural relief fund and the farm business resilience program.

The Tasmanian Government has provided some information, tools and resources to help farm business to be drought ready and make the best possible decisions for your business, your family and yourself.
