Public Question Time Policy

George Town Council invites community members to view and comment on the revised Public Question Time Policy. At Council, we recognise the importance of engaging and consulting with our community when reviewing our policies therefore we are seeking feedback regarding its content, purpose and direction.

What is this Policy?

Public Question Time provides members of the community with a platform for interacting directly with Councillors by asking questions concerning Council activities at monthly Ordinary Council Meetings. This policy outlines the objectives, scope, legislation and process to be used if members of the public wish to ask questions in person or in writing at an Ordinary Council Meeting.

The Public Question Time Policy can be found HERE and hardcopies are available at the George Town Council Office in Anne Street.

Please provide your feedback and comments in writing by Tuesday 5th July 2022.
