The Wild Tamar website brings together the soft adventure offerings of the North Tamar Region, focusing on six adventure categories – water sports, mountain biking, wildlife, fishing, diving (both sky and scuba!), and rock climbing.
The North Tamar has always been a popular tourist destination, with its many beautiful beaches, excellent fishing, and already famous penguin colony at Low Head. But few are aware that you can scuba dive straight from the shore, sky dive over East Beach, or even visit a colony of Australian Fur Seals! Combined with being Tasmania’s newest mountain biking destination, the region is poised to become an adventure-enthusiasts mecca!
The Wild Tamar Project was made possible by grant funding under the Recovery for Regional Tourism program administered by Austrade.
