Mt Direction Historic Semaphore

At the Mount Direction Semaphore station site there are ruins of dwellings believed to have been occupied by signalmen and their families during the 1800s. Used as a semaphore signal system for communication, this connects to semaphores at Mt George, Low Head and Windmill Hill.

A 2km walking track takes you to the summit. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and remember to take water with you.
