George Town Council Health and Wellbeing Committee Seeks Expressions of Interest from Community Members
The George Town Council is excited to announce the establishment of the Health and Wellbeing Committee (HWC), dedicated to enhancing community health and wellbeing in the George Town Municipality.
The George Town Health and Wellbeing Committee (HWC) has been established by Council for the purpose of:
(a) being a voice to Council for people with an interest in community health and wellbeing issues in the George Town Municipality;
(b) facilitating the implementation of the action plan under the Health and Wellbeing Strategy and performing a formal interim evaluation of the implementation in accordance with the strategy.
OUR VISION:
The HWC will provide advice on health and wellbeing issues and facilitate the delivery of strategic plan actions, in order to support health and wellbeing for everyone within the George Town Municipality community.
CALL FOR INTEREST:
Community members are invited to submit an expression of interest that includes:
- Your experience in the health and/or wellness sector
- Short statement outlining your connection to the region/municipality
- Short statement outlining your interest in supporting and improving health and wellbeing for everyone in the George Town Municipality.
Positions on the HWC are voluntary.
