Roads & Highways

George Town Council is responsible for the maintenance, repair, reconstruction and rehabilitation of roads within the municipality. The following roads and highways are the responsibility of the State Government:

• The East Tamar Highway
• The Batman Highway
• Bridport Road
• Pipers River Road
• Bell Bay Road

Any requests regarding these roads or highways can be directed to the Department of State Growth
