At our July Council meeting, we formally adopted our 2025/2026 Annual Plan. The Annual Plan establishes the actions for the upcoming 12 months in line with the adopted budget to continue our advancement to realising the vision of a progressive, prosperous and proud community.
The 2025/2026 Annual Plan is aimed at delivering on our Community Strategic Plan 2020-2030. It details a number of actions, statutory requirements and budget required to progress the plan.
Some actions include (but not limited):
- Maintaining our free Caring for Cats Program
- Review of our Consultation Framework
- Commence construction of the George Town Aquatic, Health and Wellbeing Centre
- Advancement of Township Character Plans
- Marketing & Tourism Strategy and Events Strategy
- Develop Youth Strategy
