On Friday, 12 December, our community came together to celebrate the annual Christmas Carnival, it was a wonderful evening! Families enjoyed a wonderful mix of rides and amusements, Christmas Parade, live music and dance performances, delicious food vans, and market stalls. Plus, the all-important pictures with Santa.
Congratulations to our 2025 Christmas Parade winners:
- Best Themed Float – My Support link
- Best Walking Entry – Bee Bop Dance Studio
- Most Entertaining – Tasmanian Chinese Buddhist Academy of Australia
- Encouragement Award – 501st Legion
- Green Award – Devil in the Dunes
We were also delighted to officially open the newly renovated Jim Mooney Gallery, now showcasing a beautiful collection of Christmas-themed works by talented local artists. The exhibition will be open until Friday, 19 December.
A huge thank you to Cr Mason, Cr Orr and Deputy Mayor Dawson for judging the parade, Mike O’Loughlin for MC’ing the Carnival, and to the SES for their outstanding management of the parade on the day.
Thank you to everyone who attended, we hope you had a wonderful time. Wishing our community a very Merry Christmas!
