CONSTRUCTION WORKS ON NEW FOOTPATH
Esplanade South, George Town – Construction of approximately 280m of new footpath, driveways, and vehicle crossovers commencing the week beginning 3rd March 2025.
Please be advised of Council’s upcoming capital works project to construct 280m of new footpath along the entirety of Esplanade South and connecting through to Adelaide Street.
Construction was previously postponed due to contractor availability and weather, but is now scheduled to commence the week beginning 3rd March 2025 and estimated to be completed within four to six weeks.
There will be some disruption during construction, but the contractor will work towards minimising it as best as possible.
