The public are advised of temporary changed traffic conditions during the forthcoming Christmas Carnival Parade. The following roads will be closed, for purposes of conducting the George Town Christmas Carnival.
- Goulburn Street – Macquarie Street intersection to Cimitiere Street intersection – 4pm-6:30pm
- Macquarie Street – Goulburn Street intersection to Elizabeth Street intersection – 4pm-6:30pm
- Sorell Street – Macquarie Street to York Cove – 4pm-6:30pm
- Anne Street – Cimitiere Street to Macquarie Street – 4pm-6:30pm
- Anne Street – Macquarie Street to York Cove – 4pm-6:30pm
- Bathurst Street – Macquarie Street to York Cove – 4pm-6:30pm
Elizabeth Street – Cimitiere Street to Macquarie Street – 4pm-6:30pm - Elizabeth Street – Macquarie Street to York Cove – 4pm-6:30pm
- Regent Square Car Park – 1pm-9pm
- Elizabeth Street Car Park – 4pm-6:30pm
No parking will be permitted on Macquarie Street from 3:30pm.
No parking will be permitted in the Elizabeth Street Car park from 4:00pm to 6:30pm.
No parking will be permitted in the Regent Square Car Park from 1:00pm to 9:00pm.
Please note that individuals holding Australian Disability Parking Permits will have access to Anne Street and the adjacent council car park, through Cimitiere Street. We kindly request all patrons to display their valid Australian Disability Parking Permit prominently.
Access to emergency services will be maintained at all times.
