The following roads and car parks will be closed to traffic for the annual George Town Christmas Carnival on Friday, December 6th, 2024. Parking restrictions will also apply, as listed below.
Goulburn Street
Macquarie St to Cimitiere St intersection 4.00 pm – 7:00 pm
Macquarie Street
Goulburn St intersection to Elizabeth St intersection 4.00 pm – 7:00 pm
Sorell Street
Macquarie St to York Cove 4.00 pm – 7:00 pm
Anne Street
Cimitiere to Macquarie St 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Macquarie St to York Cove 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Bathurst Street
Macquarie St to York Cove 4.00 pm – 7:00 pm
Elizabeth Street
Cimitiere to Macquarie St 4.00 pm – 7:00 pm
Macquarie St to York Cove 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Regent Square Car Park 1:30 pm – 9:00 pm
No parking will be permitted on Macquarie Street from 3:00 pm.
No parking will be permitted in the Elizabeth Street Car park from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
No parking will be permitted in the Regent Square Car Park from 1:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
Please note that individuals holding Australian Disability Parking Permits will have access to Anne Street and the adjacent council car park, through Cimitiere Street. We kindly request all patrons to display their valid Australian Disability Parking Permit prominently.
