Council is aware of the recent announcements from the state government waiving waste levy charges for storm related waste. Council has been communicating with state agencies to waive all fees associated with storm related waste including the levy and gate fees.
Further information will be provided once received from the state government. Meanwhile council waste waste transfer stations will accept storm related waste free from charge. This does not extend to all waste.
Sufficient evidence of storm related waste will be assessed by council facility operators who may require further information from you... Loads carrying tyres, lawn clippings, furniture as examples will be charged at full costs.
