The Inaugural Solstice in the Square on June 21, 2024, was a spectacular celebration of community and creativity. Regent Square and the Memorial Hall were transformed into vibrant spaces filled with art, music, and warmth.
The evening began with a culturally ceremony from our local Aboriginal community, setting a meaningful tone. Regent Square was alive with fire twirlers, live bands across two stages, a living statue, and various interactive activities.
Other highlights included hair braiding, face painting, and other delightful activities. The Memorial Hall provided a cosy retreat with fairy lights. The offerings of the evening included delicious food, local mulled wine, whisky, gin, and coffee.
With almost 1,000 patrons in attendance, the event received high praise from the community. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported and contributed to making Solstice in the Square a memorable success. We look forward to another magical celebration next year!
