The George Town Council is a local government in Northern Tasmania, situated on the kanamaluka/Tamar Estuary. George Town is the principal town and encompasses Hillwood, Low Head, Mount Direction, Pipers River/Brook, Lefroy, Beechford, Bellingham, Lulworth, Weymouth, lower Turners Marsh, Retreat and Bell Bay.
