Draft Weymouth Recreation Ground Concept Plan

We're inviting community members to review and share feedback on the DRAFT Weymouth Recreation Ground Concept Plan. We recognise the importance of engaging and consulting with our community when implementing and reviewing our policies, strategies and plans, therefore we are seeking feedback regarding this draft concept plan.

As part of the Township Character Plan and with the support of the Weymouth Progress Association, Council has had a concept plan developed for the Weymouth Recreation Ground that incorporates work previously undertaken by the Weymouth Progress Association. This plan supports future development of the recreation space to better meet the community’s evolving needs.

This draft concept plan outlines key constraints, opportunities, and recommendations for the future development of the Weymouth Recreation Ground.

Weymouth is a small coastal and rural community located at the mouth of the Pipers River. It has a relaxed, small-town character and a strong sense of safety. The township is home to a stable, long-standing population, with many residents having lived in the area for generations, along with many shack owners and visitors in the warmer months.

The DRAFT Plan is below for viewing. (We also recommend reading the Township Character Plan in conjunction).

Consultation is now open until 5pm on the 25th of February 2026.
